The wait is over. ABIT launches its AT7
KT333 mainboard. As you know, ABIT AT7 is an innovative product that breaks the
tradition with innovation. ABIT introduces the MAX concept. It is a
revolutionary design which changes what we have in mind of the traditional and
legacy mainboard. One of the most revolutionary change is the doing away of PS/2
connectors for mouse and keyboard. In replacement is the USB ports for keyboard
and mouse. Incorporating the HPT374 4 channel IDE RAID chipset, ABIT makes it as
the first company to implement a 4 channels UDMA ATA/133 RAID. Wth the already
on board 2 channel on board ATA-133 (up to 4 driver), the system can basically
hook up to 8 IDE devices on RAID 0/1/0+1 and 4 IDE devices using the on board 2
channel IDE conncetors supported by the VIA 8233A southbridge. Another important
change is the IEEE 1394a and USB 2.0 on board.
ABIT AT7 is definitely one of the most
important breakthrough product for the year 2002. Other than these new features,
SoftMenuIII is available and you could also pair up with 4
DIMMs (Supports 6 banks up to 3 GB DRAMs
(512Mb x8/x16 DRAM technology) for un-buffered DDR SDRAM module Supports 8 banks
up to 3.5 GB DRAMs (512Mb x8/x16 DRAM technology) for register DDR SDRAM module No
ECC function support), O/C features and 5.1 channel audio. It also comes with
a Realtek
ALC650 (AC-Link) supporting 6CH DAC for AC3 5.1 CH purpose Professional digital
audio interface supporting 24-bit SPDIF OUT
Card Reader (Optional).
This is probably the only board that allows
Vcore to be adjustable up to a high of 1.10v ~ 1.85v at 0.025v intervals.
CPU Ratio is selectable from 5.5x ~ 12.5x.
DDR voltage is selectable too from 2.55, 2.6, 2.75v, 2.85v. CPU Clock is
adjustable from 100 ~ 250Mhz at 1Mhz stepping. I/O voltage are selectable
from 3.5v or 3.65v.
