This is the first time we reviewed Albatron
product KX400+ Pro. I suppose most of you might be wondering how fast would the
VIA KT333CE + VT 8235 South bridge be as compared to the earlier South Bridge.
When I first received this board, I thought it was a KT400 board as it claims to
support DDR400. After checking and clarifying with Albatron, what it meant by
DDR400 is merely overclocking the FSB to 160 and running async mode at a ratio -
in this case 2.5x. KX400+ Pro not only supports AMD XP2200+, it is also downward
compatible with the older series of Duron and Athlons. Built on board is a 6
channel audio chipset. VT8235 south bridge supports 1 CNR, 6 PCI, 1 AGP 4x. 2
channels of IDE ATA-133 on board. With the 8235 South bridge, 6 x USB 2.0 is
supported.

Pro。 我想大家一定迫不及待的想看看這 VIA KT333CE + 8235 的板子能有多大的能耐。KX400+
Pro 最令人驚訝的是它號稱支援 DDR 400, 但是 KT333 並不正式的支援 DDR 400啊? 關於這點, 青雲在使用者手冊中也清楚的解釋了所謂的 DDR 400 是把記憶體超頻到 400 Mhz 。 如AMD 1500XP 是跑 133 x 10, 記憶體則跑 333 Mhz (133 x 2.5 ), 要是超頻 CPU 的外頻至 160 Mhz 那記憶體則跑 400 Mhz 了 (160 x 2.5 )。KX400+ Pro 不僅可支援 AMD XP 2200+ 也支援以往的 Athlon 和 Duron。板子內建了六聲道音效。VT 8235 南橋晶片還支援了 1 組 CNR , 6組PCI 和 1 組 AGP 4X 插槽。IDE 方面則是 2 組 ATA-133 IDE 插槽。由於8235, 板子也直接的支援最近熱門的 USB 2.0 多達 6 組, 使用者不須再花錢買額外的擴充卡。
