Benchmarking

Before we benchmark, we document the FSB the board is running at. Below is a chart that shows the FSB (default by BIOS) for the 8 boards we use in this review :

With Dual channel DDR, we can see a great jump in memory benchmark results. A high score of 3265/3264 is obtained using 2 x 256MB DDR module. This result is very comparable to the 850E+RIMM4200 P4T533. Would this result in better throughput for memory demanding applications. Let's check it out in the next few pages. From what I heard from our contact person, there might be ways to run this board in a ASYNC DDR333 mode. If that is so, we will have DUAL CHANNEL ASYNC DDR333 mode, this will definitely make give you more bandwidth.

We can see from the chart that there is a significant jump from a single 512M DDR module versus a Dual channel 2 x DDR 266 (256M)/
