ECS L7VTA KT400 Mainboard Gallery (2)
Overclocker 18 Sept 2002

ECS has gone a long way since it's days of no frills mainboard to today's everything built in and at a low cost. In fact when I first look at the mainboard, i was surprised to find Promise ATA RAID on board. On top of that this board supports USB 2.0, 1394 and LAN on board !!

The AC97 audio codec used is the 2 channel VIA VT1612A.

On it's left there is a 3 pin connector for SPDIF out.

3 phase power is implemented and is a norm nowadays on most mainboard design. The North bridge is stuck with a heatsink using a double sided thermal tape which we replaced it with thermal paste.

3 DIMM slots supporting DDR266, DDR333 and non-officially supports the DDR400

The floppy connector resides on the left rear of the mainboard. Next to it are two channels of IDE RAID ports supported by Promise PDC20265R chipset. The 1394 port connector is next to the IDE port (a 9 pin connector). VIA Fire IEEE 1394 6306 chipset is used to support the 1394 on board.
