The MMS version of the original Ericsson T68 has landed!! Not going to wait around to see if a  firmware upgrade will indeed transform my T68 into a T68i :)

Left: The new T68i comes in a white box with Sony Ericsson logo                              Right: The original T68 battery can be used on the T68i as shown below.

A comparison between the keypads on the T68 and the T68i. You decide which one is better ...

Conclusion / Personal Opinion

After tinkering with the T68i for approx. 48 hrs, I feel that it is well worth the money (Selling at approx. SG$720 or 440€) . The sensitivity of the microphone is better now, not as "noisy" as before. The lighting for the keypad is brighter (luminous blue) and highly visible over the original version. The buttons are firmer and give a bit more feel as compared to T68. T9 is faster but it's not a 'Nokia' yet. The ringtone appears to be sharper and somewhat melodic. MMS is something that has yet to manifest itself in Singapore but after scrolling thru. the sample in the MMS folder, it's pretty cool. I hope that all telcos in Singapore will start offering it soon ... I have recorded a short video clip (approx. 1.3MB) on a sample MMS entitled "I am Late" showing some nice animations and sound. If you want it, leave your email in the forum and I send it to you.  That's all for now and if you have any questions ... post it in the forum.
