With the advancement in technology, we are now able to hook up to the internet at blazing speeds. To date, most of the users are able to only hook up a single machine to the ADSL through the provided software by the ISPs. After enjoying the blazing speeds after the upgrade, the next thing that comes to your mind is how should I protect my PC and the next probably question is, how can I share the bandwidth with the rest of the family members by hooking the other pcs in the other rooms to the broadband device ?

The above seems to be just another box for sharing internet connection. Yes, but the Pro100 has more to offer and they include support for VPN supporting unlimited tunnels passing through the NAPT. NAPT allows sharing up to 253 client computers hooked up to this device. Secondly, you can also allow incoming traffic to talk to application servers behind the NAPT. This device also supports RIP2 to re-direct packets to the correct router. There is also a DMZ support for applications that need not be blocked. Access filters also help to restrict the user's activity on the LAN.

Well it looks like it is definitely has more functionality then the normal SOHO sharing box. It is probably a device that might suit your existing network.  In the next few pages we will look at the set up and how some of the functions work.
