ASUS P4S800D-E SiS 655TX Mainboard Review (3)
Overclocker 24 Nov 2003

Benchmarking

Before we benchmark, we document the FSB the board is running at.

Do bear that in mind when comparing results of the boards as a higher FSB usually will impact the benchmarks in one way or another. The ASUS P4S800D-E runs at a default of 200.09MHz. We ran the tests at 200/200.

In our test, we run the 3.0 Ghz (P4 800MHZ) processor at 200Mhz FSB and with 2x256M Kingston DDR400  module at, CAS 2, 5-2-2 on the the SIS 655TX, SIS 655FX Ref board and Springdale/Canterwood boards. For stability, we set the voltage to 2.7v for the DDR. On the ASRock P4i45PE (i845PE) & ABIT BH7 (i845PE), we ran it using a single stick of 512M Corsair XMS3500C2 at CAS 2, 5-2-2. PAT is enabled by default on all Canterwood boards.

From the chart, the results are quite promising. The memory benchmark shows a score of 5023/5024 which is higher than most of the dual channel ddr400 boards tested. Furthermore it is running at a default of 200.09 while some boards are slightly higher in FSB at 200.5 or so.
