The Package / Barebone

The accessory package consists of user's manual, installation guide, driver CD, StudioFun CD, StudioFunQuick Guide,Power cord, SATA cable, Power cable for SATA HD, Screws pack and thermal paste. The Package also include a remote control can be used to control CD Audio and optional TV tuner (to be available).

This is the Athlon 64 Box from BIOSTAR. It looks sleek with the golden / black colour scheme. Although most SFF looks similar, the major difference could be the ease of installation. I have a pleasing experience with the installation of BIOSTAR iDEQ 200P as it is very straightforward and you do not need to wire up the box compared to most other offerings. Connectors are also well documented. The chances of connecting to a wrong device is practically 0%.

Instead of opening up the whole box, you can just simply open the side of the casing to install RAM or CPU. (or the other side just to install the graphics card (provided it is not too tall).

The front bay where you mount your CDROM, Floppy disk is exposed when you slide down the sliding front plate. This is very a nice feature, because you can cover the CDROM and floppy drive when not in use, it would also not expose the non-black coloured CDROM and floppy drive as it doesn't match in colour.

The Power button, reset button, power led and harddisk led

The PSU, the empty slots for a CDROM and a floppy drive. Hard disks are mounted below it.

Left View - 1 PCI slot and 1 AGP Slot. You can clearly see the two empty brackets for holding your Harddisks.

Back View - The audio connectors, PS/2 Keyboard, Mouse, S/PDIF connector, COM1/2, 1394, LAN and 2 USB ports. The power connector for the barebone accepts 110/220V Be sure to set it to the correct voltage level. Europe/Asia : 220v, America/Japan/Taiwan : 110v.

Right View - 2 DIMM slots for holding up to 2 GB of unbuffered DIMMs.

Bottom View - there are 2 recesses situated below where the CPU, Chipset would be on the motherboard. The base plate becomes the heatsink of the two hottest items on the board as heat is transmitted downwards too through the thermal pads.
