At the ALi booth, they showed something that everyone at OCW will be proud of. That is our award for their M1687 K8 mainboard. If you have not read the review, do check it out either in the latest Gigabyte review which we compared to other chipsets.

A new K8 chipset M1689 single chipset solution. This is a Socket 939 board. ALi has do away with the North-South bridge and integrated support for SATA within the single chip. With a full implementation of HTT<->CPU and single chip solution, I would think that this will be faster than the M1687+M1563 solution that we tested. ETA October 2003.

ALi also showcase their customer's Notebook based on ALi 1687+M1563 Athlon 64 Winstron Notebook.
