DFI LanParty 865PE

As one of the leading 2nd tier manufacturers, DFI has come a long way. They have been actively innovating and implementing new stuffs onto their boards. This is very apparent on their latest flagship product series DFI LANPARTY.

LANPARTY 865PE is based on the Intel 865PE series. If you have read our NF2 Lanparty review, you will find the package quite similar. Bundled with lots of goodies, they deserve a good mention here. The package comes with a carrying case known as PC Transpo which allows you to sling your PC barebone and bring it to LAN Parties. The rounded cables provided helps by improving the air flow in the PC. The glowing mainboard is exceptionally beautiful under UV lighting. The package also comes bundled with a FrontX which you can mix n match the connectors to be mounted on it.

Based on the Intel 865PE+ICH5 chipsets, this mainboard supports AGP 8x, Dual Channel DDR400, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 6 ch audio, 2 ports for SATA RAID 0/1, 2 ports of SATA, IEEE 1394, USB 2.0. Most importantly, this board comes preloaded with CMOS Reloaded which allows you to preset 4 sets of CMOS settings for overclocking or application specific timings.

DFI Lanparty 865PE BIOS has very detailed BIOS settings allowing you to fine tune the system for maximum compatibility and performance. See Gallery for detail BIOS screen shots.
