Bluetooth 1 July 2003

DFI LanParty NF2 Ultra

As one of the leading 2nd tier manufacturers, DFI has come a long way. They have been actively innovating and implementing new stuffs onto their boards. This is very apparent on their latest flagship product series DFI LANPARTY.

LANPARTY NF2 Ultra, as it names implies, caters for the gamers in mind. Bundled with lots of goodies, they deserve a good mention here. The package comes with a carrying case known as PC Transpo which allows you to sling your PC barebone and bring it to LAN Parties. The rounded cables provided helps by improving the air flow in the PC. The glowing mainboard is exceptionally beautiful under UV lighting. The package also comes bundled with a FrontX which you can mix n match the connectors to be mounted on it.

Based on the nVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400 chipset, this mainboard supports AGP 8x, Dual Channel DDR400, Dual 10/100Mbps LAN, 6 ch audio, IDE RAID 1.5, SATA, IEEE 1394, 6 USB 2.0. Most importantly, this board has Genie BIOS which allows you to fine tune your multipliers, fsb, voltages. Multipliers can be tuned up to 22x, FSB to 300MHz, Vcore up to 2.0v etc.

In our tests, we will compare it with EPoX 8RDA3+, Gigabyte 7NNXP, ASRock K7S8X and SiS 748 Reference board.
