SIS

Today we went around visiting booths and saw some interesting products from chipset makers. We visited SiS and were introduced the SIS 755FX chipset. The most interesting one could be the dual socket 754+939 Asrock dual combo board as this is definitely one of those things that you might want to consider upgrading CPU instead of motherboard. [quicktime movie on the real demo]. At the SIS booth there are also displays of ref board using the SIS 965 South Bridge and demonstration of using PCI-E x 1 for Gigabit Ethernet. There is also a demon SiS 656 featuring dual Channel DDR2-667. Other oldies like 655TX are on show for the Pentium series.

SiS also introduces the smallest WLAN 802.11b/g WLAN controller chipset - SiS 163 and newest SIS 165 that supports 802.11a/b/g.
