Foxconn is well known probably for
its component level products. If you thought so, you might have mistaken because
Foxconn is actually one of the top tier
manufacturer of mainboards. Foxconn has been in the producing boards for OEM for
many years and lately it has come into the retail market by offering retail
packaged products. Today we will take a look at its 915 board 915A01-P-8EKRS
mainboard supporting the Prescott-T LGA775 CPUs and DDR2 memory.
Foxconn has a nice way of naming
their boards, -8EKRS means 8 channel audio, 1394, onboard 1G LAN, RAID, SATA. This new board
supports the Intel Prescott-T processor in LGA775 package at 533/800MHz HT. It
has 4 DIMM slots supporting DDR2 400/533 RAM up to 4GB of DDR2 memory can be
used. It supports PAT.
This board supports up to 8 USB 2.0
ports, 4 SATA devices in RAID 0, 1, 0+1 or MATRIX RAID configurations.
