Gigabyte 3D Rocket-Pro Cooler PCU22-VG (1)
Bluetooth 2 Aug 2004

Gigabyte introduces another new cooler, 3D Rocket-Pro Cooler PCU22-VG last week. As its name implies, this cooler is shaped like a rocket. This new heatsink has two parts, the top part of the heatsink draws cool air from the fins and the ejects the cool air to its surrounding electronic components through the lower portion of the fins. The heatsink is thick polished copper for best heat dissipation.

With more high powered CPUs, it is a challenge to keep the noise level of the fan to an acceptable level. The 3D Rocket cooler comes with fan speed module allowing you to adjust the fan speed from 2500rpm to 4000rpm.

Although you can see that most heatsink manufactures has heatsink that fits both Socket A/370/478. Gigabyte is probably the only company so far to make it fit on 4 CPU socket types. That is Socket A, 370, 478 and 775. This flexibility allows you to change your CPU / board without the need to buy a new heatsink.

The Rocket Design and Blue LEDs makes the cooler very attractive when placed in a transparent casing. Something very unique!

The Package

The package contains the full copper heatpipe, thermal paste, fan speed control cable, manual. It definitely looks very unique.

Package contains retention clips for K7, K8 and P4 and a LGA775 Rentention module. There is a tube of thermal paste and a easy to read manual.
