First we tested it using Futuremark 3Dmark2001SE. As we can see from the chart below, it is not difficult to see that the ATi X600XT is not a match for the 6600GT. As you might thought that they should be competing chipsets, it is not the case. In fact, at the time of publishing this review, ATi has launched X700XT. As we do not have other PCI-E cards, the X600XT is put into the review as a reference.

Comparing the results below, it is not difficult to see that the card can be overclocked 80 Mhz and 100Mhz more for core and memory respectively. The gain is around 5.46%. Although the core can be clocked up to 600MHz, tearing starts and system is relatively unstable.

We made a cross check with our AMD 3400+ Socket 939 benchmarks, our 9800XT seems to outperform it. It scored an average of 22000 in this test.

As for 3DMark2003, the scores are pretty impressive I would say. Scoring a score of 8968 at o/c speed and 8044 at default of (500/1000). A 11% jump is registered when overclocked. The X600XT is definitely no match. Interesting enough, this outperforms the Athlon 64 3400+ we tested before which scored an average of 6700.

3DMark05 is a new benchmark that we introduce in our benchmark suite. A 12% performance increase when it is overclocked.
