Introduction

ECS Elitegroup unveils its PF22 motherboard - the first motherboard leveraging Intel’s 955X chipset and supporting ATI CrossFire technology.

Featuring ECS’ Scalable D.G.E. (Scalable Dual Graphic Engines) architecture, the PF22 can leverage ATI CrossFire technology. As the world’s first 955X-chipset embedded motherboard supporting ATI CrossFire technology, the PF22 delivers the ultimate 3D graphic experience for the most demanding PC gamers and enthusiasts. Not only can Scalable D.G.E. allow two graphics cards to work simultaneously to generate increased 3D performance, but it also enables the support for simultaneous display on up to four devices.

In order to optimize PC performance, the PF22 also includes the overclocking feature: I.O.C. (Instant Overclocking Controller). I.O.C. enables a system to automatically boost frequency to enhance overall performance by intelligently detecting the CPU loads. This design enables gamers to easily experience the power of overclocking.

In addition to delivering powerful gaming experience, the PF22 is designed to deliver an incredible digital entertainment experience. Embedding Intel’s most advanced chipset - 955X, the PF22 meets all the demands required by digital entertainment. The PF22 supports Intel’s Pentium Processor Extreme Edition, which multiplies the effect of “Dual Core” and “Hyper-Threading technology” and enables users to efficiently run multiple demanding applications at the same time. Dual Gigabit Ethernet delivers faster networking; Intel Matrix Storage provides quick and safe access to digital photos, music and video files; 8 channel HD audio can deliver outstanding surround sound; Dual DDR2 667 memory, Dual Core and 64-bit support enhance system response and provide maximum memory storage of up to 8GB.

The board also supports 6 SATA II NCQ ports, 1 IDE channel, Top Hat Flash, 1394a, 8 USB ports for your future expansion needs.
