Samsung SGH-Z500 Triband/WCDMA Megapixel Camera Phone (1)
Bluetooth 4 Aug 2005

Samsung SGH-Z500

Samsung SGH-Z500 looks very similar with the GSM E700A which was released on year ago in the market. Although it is small in size, it is big in functions. Z500 supports GSM Triband but also 3G. It breaks the myth that 3G phones can't be small sized. As the first Samsung 3G phone to support bluetooth technology, it brings the Samsung phone into the same league of phones offering similar capabilities. On top of that, it comes with a 1.3mpixel camera which can takes up a resolution of up to 1152x864 pixels.

This phone weighs only 95g and as a dimension of 91 x 45 x 25 mm which is smaller than the D500. It has a 18 bits colour depth and offers brilliant colours in the internal screen and 65.536 OLED, 80 x 64 Pixel external display. It also comes with a built in memory of 50MB shared among the various media. A transflash slot if provided but no media is in the package.

The built in camera takes pretty good pictures with various resolutions up to 1152x864 (mega). The video recording can be done in sub QCIF (128x96), QCIF (176x144) modes. Size limit can be set to MMS limit or unlimited ~ 60mins. There is no built in flash led on the phone.
