Sony Ericsson Z800i 3G/GSM 900/1800/1900 Camera Phone Review (1)
Bluetooth 20 May 2005

Sony Ericsson Z800i

Sony Ericsson Z800i is the incarnation of the SE Z1010 phone we reviewed sometime ago. The Z800i is slimmer than the Z1010 and offers improved camera and lighter in weight. The Z800i comes in the clamshell form factor. When it is closed, the size is almost the same size as the SE K700i. When flipped open, the phone resembles those of Samsung 2G phones. It has a rotatable CMOS 1.3mpixel camera lens for video calls or photo/video shoot.

Z800i has a 2.2 inch 262K main scren of 176x220 pixels and an external screen of 65K of 101x80 pixels which shows a minimised version of the internal screen.  The phone also comes with a MP3 Player which playbacks MP3, AAC and M4A.  The phone comes with Java MIDP 2.0 support. but does not come with FM Radio.

Connectivity wise, the Z800i supports Bluetooth, infra red and USB connectivity which I can use to transfer images easily. The Memory Stick Duo slot allows external storage of up to 2GB Pro Duo.
