LG KG320 Chocolate phone

We reviewed the KG800 sometime ago and was impressed with its design. LG released another Chocolate phonea, this time it is the LG KG320, an mass appeal small form factor bar type phone. Squarish in design, it looks like the conventional bar type phone from other manufacturers. Gone are the red arrows and touch pad. In replacement, you have the conventional keypad for SMS input. In fact, other than the design, the phone functionalities is quite similar to the KG800.

The package comes with a nice leather like casing for the phone with opening for camera lens, USB cable for data connectivity, 2 batteries and a external charger for the battery.

This phone has a small dimension of 96 x 45.5 x 9.9 mm, which is slimmer than the KG800 Slider phone. Although small in size, it has a built in 128M memory and comes with no expansion slots. In terms of multimedia features, the phone comes with a MP3 supporting MP3, WMA, AAC/AAC+/AAC++ for storing up to around 30- 40 songs. It also has 6 EQ effects (General, Classic, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Bass).

With the slider lens opened, the 1.3 mpixel Camera / Video Camera can take quite good shots. It includes features like 9 Frame Multi Shots and has 5 filter special effects (Night/Sepia/Black/White/Negative). It has Digital Zoom up to 4X as well as set timer function. Flash function and High resolution LCD for clearer and sharper pictures and videos is built into the phone. For Video, it can take in mpeg4 and supports h.263. It can be sync with pc for downloading.

For Connectability, it comes with a WAP 2.0 browser which can be used with GPRS to surf the WAP sites. There is bluetooth and comes with built in data/fax modem. With USB connection, you can connect directly to the phone as a USB mass storage device to retrieve the images/music stored in it.
