ASRock ALiveXFire-eSATA2 ATi Xpress 1600 (RD480+SB600) Mainboard Review Benchmarks 3/8
Bluetooth 1 Oct 2006

Benchmarks PCmark2005

PCmark2005 tests a number of important items in today's computing world. File Compression, Encryption, Decryption, Audio Conversion, Web Page Rendering, WMV Video Compression, DivX Video Compression, Physics Calculation and 3D, Graphics Memory etc.

PCmark05 gives us an indication on how the system performs with effects from the bus system.

From the results, we can see that the ALiveXFire-eSATA2 is at a slight disadvantage compared to the rest. This is because it runs at 199.7MHz instead of 200.5 or 200.9MHz. In fact, a check on the detail breakdown of results shows that, the perforamance dip is not due to the South bridge as we are pairing it up with the latest SB600. In fact the SB600 gives a very impressive score in USB and HD tests. This should be due to RD480 North bridge as we can see from the chart below, the RD580+SB600 boards all scored better.

We also tested the board with a single X1600XT and Dual X1600XT in CrossFire mode. The scores are 4772 and 4682 respectively.
