ASrock AM2 CPU Board on ASrock 939Dual-SATA2 Review Benchmarks 2/9
Bluetooth 23 May 2006

Benchmarks

In this test, we measured the CLK used by the boards. The ASrock 939Dual-SATA2 with AM2 CPU board runs at 200.00MHz while the AM2NF4G-SATA2 is at 202.0MHz. The RAM modules are running at CAS 5, 5-5-10, 2T on both boards. The AM2NF4G-SATA can run 1T 8beats while the CPU board can only run 2T with 8 beats at that timings.

With that in mind, we take a look at the memory benchmark scores using Sandra 2007. The result came as a surprise to me as the CPU board would have introduce more latency into the bus. It scored slightly better than the 6100 board. Could it be due to the BIOS optimisation? The ASrock 939Dual-SATA2 is considered a matured board running BIOS 1.9 while the AM2NF4G-SATA is still on an early engineering bios.
