Samsung 70" LCD TV - F9

Samsung launched its largest screen FULL HD LCD TV model F9 in Singapore. This LED based LCD TV brings out the best of Samsung with a LED based backlight.

F9 is the largest commercially available Full High Definition LCD TV. The F9 is a technology leader as it employs Samsung’s LED SmartLightingTM technology, otherwise known as “local dimming”. This advanced technology intuitively senses the TV signal and adjusts the brightness level by modulating the right combination of the LED backlight units to produce a stunning dynamic contrast ratio of 500,000:1. LED Motion PlusTM is another new technology that sets the F9 apart from conventional LCD TVs. A built-in engine progressively scans the array of LED backlights at very high frequencies to adjust fast moving images and eliminate blurry images.

The use of LED technology also makes the F9 one of the most environmentally friendly TVs available in the market. With this new backlight system for the F9, Samsung has achieved more than 30 per cent reduction in power usage compared to a similar sized model using traditional backlight.

Technology apart, the Samsung F9 has a piano black glossy finish professional look. The F9’s soft square corners and titanium trimmings makes it stand out from the surroundings even when not in operation.

The slim hidden speaker design in the F9 comes with a unique TruSurround XT stereo system complete with two built-in concealed subwoofers that add volume to its 2.2 channel stereo. To ensure pristine audio fidelity across the sound spectrum, the tweeters have been placed apart from the subwoofers, providing deeper bass and higher treble.

For quick and easy connectivity to a range of audio-visual peripherals such as game consoles, MP3 players, digital cameras and Blu-ray disc players, the F9 comes with WiselinkTM USB 2.0 and three HDMI terminals that allow users to take advantage of its Full HD capability.

The 70 inch Samsung F9 Full HD LED LCD TV has a recommended retail price of $88,888.
