Samsung Ultra Video SGH-F500 (SGH-F508) HSDPA phone review

Samsung SGH-F500 / SGH-F508

SGH-F500 is not just an ordinary phone. Measuring only 10.7mm, it is the first 1.8mbps HSDPA phone which comes with a PMP built in. The phone spots a dual screen interface. With a swivel you can change the phone into a full entertainment system, playback your video clips on 2.4"
screen or with TV out for play back of DIVX encoded movies.

In the package, the SGH-F500 comes with a DivX converter CD to help you convert your videos quickly and easily, to fit on the phone.

With 350MB built-in memory and a bundled 2GB MicroSD card, you can playback 2-3 movies using an external 2GB microSD. A back-up battery encased in the leather case also keeps the entertainment going for longer. When a call comes through, the player pauses automatically and resumes playing when you're ready.

If your operator serves free video streams, you can watch those video clips on the 2.4" screen too. On top of that, you can also view your pictures and videos recorded using the 2mpixel camera.

On the next few pages, we will take a look at the interfaces of the phone.
