ASRock introduced yet another P45 board that is feature packed. As it's name implies, XE should mean Extreme edition and WiFi-N means this board comes with a WiFi-N AP bundled in. On top of that, it features a new feature "Instant Boot" which boots the machine way faster than before.

The ASRock P45XE-WiFiN supports the Intel LGA 775 for Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme / Core™ 2 Quad / Core™ 2 Duo / Pentium® Dual Core / Celeron® Dual Core / Celeron®, Supporting Penryn Quad Core Yorkfield and Dual Core Wolfdale processors. The board uses the Intel® P45+ ICH10R Chipsets and is compatible with FSB2000/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz CPUs Memory supports Dual Channel DDR2 1200/1066/800/667, 4 x DIMM slots, Max. capacity up to 16GB.

The board comes with 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (green @ x16 mode, blue @ x8 mode and supports ATI™ CrossFire™. There are  6 x SATAII 3.0 Gb/s connectors, support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10, RAID 5 and Intel® Matrix Storage), NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug functions. There are  2 x eSATAII 3.0 Gb/s connectors, Dual GLAN: 2 x PCIE Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000 Mb/s. There is also 1394 with support of 2 x IEEE1394 ports (one port on back panel, one header on board). Audio wise is a 7.1 CH Windows® Vista™ Premium Level HD Audio with Content Protection, supports DAC with 110dB dynamic range (ALC890 Audio Codec), DTS (Digital Theater Systems). There is also a USB/WiFi header on board.

Other features of this board includes I. O. T. (Intelligent Overclocking Technology), Instant Boot, Smart BIOS, ASRock OC Tuner, Intelligent Energy Saver, Extra ESD Protection.

For reliability, the board uses 100% Japan-made high-quality Conductive Polymer Capacitors for 2.5x longer life. It also has ESD protection to prevent circuitry shocks.
