Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006

Before we check out the performance, let's take a look at what RS780 is recognised as. It is of 55nm and has 40 unified shaders. GPU CLK runs at 500Mhz while memory is at 400MHz by default.

It can be clearly seen that the performance of the RS780 IGP far surpasses that of the AMD 690G. In fact, the difference is 125%.

In 3Dmark06, The PA78GT3 based on RS780 also far surpasses that of the AMD 690G board M2A692-GDG. The increase is almost 3x. Percentage difference is 261%. That is an enormous leap in performance for IGP chipsets.
