HP and StarHub Partner to Offer Consumers an Exclusive Designer Mini Experience
- Latest HP designer offering by Studio Tord Boontje to be offered exclusively
in Singapore by StarHub .
SINGAPORE, November 6, 2009 – Today, Hewlett-Packard (HP) and StarHub are
excited to jointly unveil the PC manufacturer’s latest designer offering – the
HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje – at the Singapore Zoo, back to nature
where inspiration begins. The HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje will be offered
exclusively in Singapore by StarHub. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of
each HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje will go towards the conservation and
breeding efforts of an endangered animal in the Singapore Zoo.
The HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje is the result of HP’s latest collaboration
with world-renowned Dutch industrial designer, Tord Boontje. Inspired by
‘harmony in nature’, the limited edition HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje breaks
new ground with the industry’s first three-dimensional (3D) PC surface
technology – HP Imprint 3D. This technology brings a unique depth and effect to
Boontje’s pattern of flora and endangered animals that unravels onto the palm
rest and touchpad of the notebook.
Additionally, the HP Mini by Studio Tord Boontje is made with a mercury-free LED
backlit display panel, and packaged in recyclable materials printed with
soy-based ink.
