Nokia N900 Maemo phone Video Review [HD Video]
Bluetooth 19 Mar 2010

Introduction to N900

From N800 to N810 internet tablet, Nokia brings another mobile device to consumers the N900. Powering the N900 is a powerful ARM Cortex A8 600Mhz  processor and up to 1GB (256 MB RAM, 768 MB virtual memory)  of application memory. While some sought after phones provide no multitasking, the N900 is able to do pretty well, running multiple applications concurrently. If more memory is required, the internal 32GB storage can be expandable to 48GB with an external microSD card.

N900 differs quite a bit from its predecessors, you can now surf using WIFI or HSPA+ using your data sim card. It offers speeds of up to 10mbps down and 2mbps uplink. As a multimedia device, it can playback multiple formats and offers streaming via the 3G network seamlessly. Not only that, web browsing on the N900 gives you the advantage of seeing exactly what you see on your PC's browser. This is because it is one of the first phones to support Adobe Flash 9.4. Flash movies or websites powered by flash will be rendered correctly. If you are into mobile gaming, this device also supports 3D graphics accelerator with OpenGL ES 2.0 support.

The N900 also comes with a 5 mega pixel Carl Zeiss optical lens with dual LED Flash for you to take great pictures either day or night. It also supports a higher resolution for video recording at 800 x 480 resolution.

So far, there are no concrete plans to offer an upgrade to the Maemo device to the MeeGo, a new OS announced earlier by Nokia and Intel which merges Maemo and Moblin. Below are the full specifications of the device and videos on the following pages.
