ABIT KT7A at 183Mhz FSB

We requested the board from our counterparts in Taipei and we ran it with a Duron 600 and we are able to run it at 183Mhz at 5 x 183, this is amazing!!

Our counterparts in Taiwan has made it! Below is a screen shot and the equipments used for the test

"We overclocked a Week 0028 TB 1.1G to 7x183FSB successfully. In order to overclock it higher than 170 FSB, I did the following :

  a. Fast CPU command decode: normal (SoftMenuIII)
  b. AGP 4X-mode: disabled (Advanced Chipset Features)
  c. Drive use Ultra DMA: disabled (Integrated Peripherals)

Note c. is a must, otherwise the hard drive will malfunction and fail to get into Windows. Our testing configuration is given below.

CPU: A1100, 0028 with a Taisol cooler
Power: Enermax 450Watt
M/B: KT7A-RAID
Memory: Tonikom PC-166 128MB SDRAM
AGP: Matrox Millinnium G200
HDD: IBM DTLA 307030 or Maxtor 91366U4
OS: Windows 98SE english
