Default [SOLVED] Left-click boots the PC

I have Windows 8.1 installed on two machines built on the ASRock H87M Pro4, and both show this behavior:

When I initiate a shutdown, Windows responds with "Shutting down" and when it's done there are no lights on the PC, but the optical mouse is still lit, and left-clicking the mouse ordinarily starts the computer.

Does anyone know if this is an ASRock or Windows feature, what it's called, and how to control it?

I should add that BIOS: Advanced: ACPI is set to

Suspend to RAM: Auto
Check Ready Bit: Enabled
ACPI HPET Table: Enabled

PS/2 Keyboard Power On: Disabled
PCI Devices Power On: Disabled
Wake From Onboard LAN: Disabled
Ring-In Power On: Disabled
RTC Alarm Power On: By OS [perhaps related to MS InstantGo support?]
USB Keyboard/Remote Power On: Disabled
USB Mouse Power On: Disabled

So I'm not seeing anything above that looks to me like it should cause this behavior.

I could also add that both machines have a USB keyboard and PS/2 mouse.

By the way, someone said that the problem is due to +5V AUX being on, and that this can be disabled with a jumper on some Asrock boards, as at http://superuser.com/questions/43085...after-shutdown, but my board does not have such a jumper.

Courtesy of Xircal at the answers.microsoft.com forum, I found that the behavior is fixed by setting
BIOS: Advanced: Chipset Configuration: Deep Sleep: Enabled in S4/S5

So you are saying you had some of your S states disabled?

No, rather the initial, default setup in BIOS has Advanced: Chipset Configuration: Deep Sleep: Disabled.

I don't find Deep Sleep described further in the manual, but the BIOS item Description is "Configure deep sleep mode for power saving when the computer is shut down. We recommend disabling Deep Sleep for better system compatibility and stability."

I interpret all this to mean that the S4 and S5 states have some latitude in their definitions, and Deep Sleep turns off an additional item or two.

I could add that choosing "Enabled in S5" did not result in the mouse turning off while shut down. "Enabled in S4-S5" was required for that. S4 is described as a Hibernation state, and since Windows 8's new startup method is hibernation-like, that makes sense in retrospect.
