ABIT TH7 P4 mainboard Introduction We have already reviewed so many Athlon boards, now it's time to take a break and turn our attention to Intel P4 and RAMBUS that we have heard so much about. If you have noticed, this time ABIT is not too late to bring you the Intel stuff :) Just in time to bring out the ultimate solution. ABIT brings you ABIT TH7 - ABIT's solution for Intel Pentium4 processor. This board is based on the i850 chipset, supports ATA100 (2) and RAID0/1/0+1 using HPT370 controller. It also has SoftMenuII (not SoftmenuIII). Since it's ABIT, overclocking is definitely in. Voltage tweaking is also available. Since P4 also locks their multiplier, there isn't much option to play with except for the FSB. Using the retail heatsink/fan, we are able to overclock the Intel 1.4G P4 to 1.6G. The benchmarks obtained are reasonably high especially in the memory benchmark tests compared to the baseline results of Sisoft Sandra 2000. Before we go into the details, let's have a look at the package below. |
