Gigabyte 7VTXH+ (1)
Overclocker 24 Jan 2002
Gigabyte has always been quite aggressive in
its push for new boards based on new chipset. Recently, Gigabyte launches one of
the first boards that is based on VIA KT266A + 8233A (ATA133 support) mainboard.
This new product 7VTXH+ with ATA133 support (an improved edition of 7VTXH which
only has ATA100 support).

7VTXH+ comes with overclocking features e.g.
multiplier, fsb, voltage tweaking. This is unusual as Gigabyte boards were
always traditionally not so much an oc board. Well, in the review, we will take
a look at how far it can go.
In our tests, we used the AMD Athlon XP1500+
and ran it under the tightest RAM timings we could. It went through all the rigorous
tests at default speed. In fact, we stress the system further by pushing it to
150Mhz and above. We also managed to overclock it using an AthlonMP by reducing
the multiplier. Before we continue, lets take a look at the
package. It comes standard with a user's
manual, FDD and HDD cables, a support CDROM and USB card.. Below are the specifications of the
board. The subsequent pages will be the gallery followed by benchmark results
including SuperPI, Q3, DroneZ etc.
