Memory Benchmarks

SiSoft Sandra 2002

The infamous SiSoft Sandra 2002 is used to test out the memory benchmarks. All the systems are tweak to it's maximum possible settings of CAS 2, 2-2-5.

The chart below compares the memory benchmark scores when we run the boards at various CPU/Memory Freq Ratio at DDR333 at CAS 2, 2-2-5 as indicated in the gallery.

Before we go into the benchmarks, let's take a look at the FSB the board is running at.

From the benchmarks, we see that the memory benchmarks for the 4 boards running at DDR333 CAS 2,2-2-5 seems to differ quite a bit. This is partly due to the varying FSB the boards are running. We can see that the Intel 845GE (133.39) versus GA 8SG667 (133.39), their memory benchmark results shows that the Intel 845GE seems to be slightly faster. The other two boards performs better than the Intel D845GEBV mainboard.

Comparing the Memory benchmarks, the GA-8SG667 is on the average among the SiS 648 boards. The P4T533 RIMM4200 solution still gives the best scores. The ECS L4S8A seems to be slightly slower then the 8SG667. The Shuttle SB51G SSF seems to score very close to the reference Intel 845GE mainboard and Gigabyte 8PE667.
