Benchmarks PCmark2004

PCmark2004 tests a number of important items in today's computing world. File Compression, Encryption, Decryption, Audio Conversion, Web Page Rendering, WMV Video Compression, DivX Video Compression, Physics Calculation and 3D, Graphics Memory etc.

As we know PCMark2004 relies a fair amount of disk related tasks. From what we see, the board based on 755FX has brought its good IDE performance to the SATA as well. The high score of 4840 surpasses all boards tested so far using other chipsets. Looks like the 964 south bridge does live up to its name. The Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-9 based on the NF4-Ultra with 1GB of RAM + NCQ enabled HDD is no fight for it.
