Performance

In our tests, we installed the heatsink onto the ASrock K7S8X-E mainboard with Performance BIOS 1.21d. We used Windows XP SP1 with 512M of Corsair XMS3500C2 RAM and ran it at CAS 2, 5-2-2 with AMD Athlon XP 3200+ processor.

We ran two tests, the first is 10 loops of Futuremark 3DMark2001SE and a complete run of SuperPI 32M tests. We used the MBM5 to register the low and high temperatures before and after the tests. Below are the screen shots of the tests. The fan is ran at the highest speed of 4000RPM.

When we first goes into the Windows XP, the heat goes up from 35 Deg Celsius up to 43 Degree Celsius. We activated MM5 and start to run the 3DMark2001SE for 10 loops. The following is registered. The highest temperature is 50 Deg Celsius and we get an average of 48 Deg Celsius.

* Room temperature = 30 Deg Celsius.
