Conclusion

Performance of this card is quite good and is comparable to other PCI-E and AGP cards of the same league. In terms of overclocking, the core/memory can be set to 580/1100 which runs stable. Setting it to 600 still works in some benchmarks and games but tearing starts. We find 580/1100 is the sweet spot that most would be able to run stable. Gigabyte has also taken into consideration and packaged the popular game DOOM 3. It also comes with V-tuner which makes it easier for those who love to tweak.

Overall, Gigabyte has delivered a card that works well on the Intel PCI-E platform. This would be so too when more K8 PCI-E chipsets are available. You get the best performance for a good price of around USD196.

Pros:

• Good software bundle
• Features
• Stability
• Price

Cons:

• Could be quieter
