Installation

Installation is a breeze for this heatpipe as we do not need to remove the existing retention unit. Furthermore, this heatsink fits K7, K8 and P4, thus there is no worry about getting the wrong heatpipe for the wrong board. Even if you change your board, you can still use this heatpipe.

In our case, we use the largest clip which is meant for the K8. To install, we just insert the clip underneath the gap below the heatpipe. Insert the clips into the retention unit and rotate the transparent handle clockwise and the heatpipe is fastened onto the rentetion unit.

K8 clip used and the heatpipe is attached snugly onto the CPU.
