Today, ATi launches its flagship product, the X1900 Series. As you have seen in our introduction, the Radeon X1900 series sets the new standard for high-end gaming GPU performance. It is the first series of PC graphics products to feature 48 pixel shader processors, twice as many as any previous technology. The Radeon X1900 has over 380 million transistors, the design is able to combine all of the key innovations of the Radeon X1000 series (including Ultra-Threading, HDR with Anti-Aliasing, image quality improvements, Avivo video & display technologies, and more) with massively increased shader processing power and other interesting new features like Fetch4 shadow map acceleration.

Powercolor leads the pack with its introduction of X1900 Series of cards. The PowerColor X1900 Series utilizes the latest ATI Radeon R580 core. The X1900XTX clocks at an astounding 650MHz , 1.55GHz memory clock and 512MB of DDR3. It also features an unprecedented 48 pixel shader processors, which is three times of the previous X1800 models. To maximize performance to the limit, CrossFireTM enables an additional card for even more power.

The PowerColor X1900 series supports Open GL 2.0, DirectX 9c and Shader Model 3.0; enabling anti-aliasing with HDR for incredible visual effects. AVIVO™ engine is also included for accelerated video decode and encode of the latest video formats and support for High-Definition (HD) videos.

Below is a chart showing the different variations of the cards.
