Introduction

ASRock has been known for its budget yet innovative boards. Today, we take a look at their newly released board, the ASRock ConRoe1333-D667. This is the little brother of the ConRoe1333-DVI/H.

ConRoe1333-D667 supports the LGA 775 for Intel® Dual Core Core™ 2 Extreme / Core™ 2 Duo / Pentium® D / Pentium® Dual Core / Pentium® 4 / Celeron® / Celeron® D processors. The board is based on the Intel® 945GC A2 Chipset which is compatible with all FSB1333/1066/800/533MHz CPUs except Quad Core. The 945GC A2 chipset comes with Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 which supports Pixel Shader 2.0, DirectX 9.0. It can support up to a Max. shared memory 224MB.

 

In terms of expansion, this board supports Dual Channel DDRII667/533 x 2 DIMM slots with max. capacity up to 4GB. The board also has 1 x PCI Express x16 slot for external VGA card. For disk access, there are 4 x Serial ATAII 3.0 Gb/s connectors. Other than that there is 7.1 CH Windows® Vista™ Premium Level HD Audio (ALC888 Audio Codec), 10/100 Ethernet LAN.  HD 8CH I/O: 4 ready-to-use USB ports, HD 7.1 channel audio jacks. The board is Windows® Vista™ Premium 2007 Logo Ready

For overclockers, ASRock throws in the hybrid Booster - Safe Overclocking Technology
Untied Overclocking : During overclocking, FSB enjoys better margin due to fixed PCIE/ PCI Buses.

Just like the ConRoe1333-DVI/H we reviewed a month ago, when running 1333FSB CPUs, the PCIe clk is running at 115MHz (OC).
