Benchmarks

HQV

DVD playback depends on a lot of factors. In the HQV test, we test out the graphics card in various aspects of video Noise reduction, Film Cadence etc. A total score of 130 if the card passes all the various tests. The breakdown of the scores can be seen here.

Temperature Monitoring

As the temperature is a major concern for cooling, we took measurements of the GPU Core during the running of 3Dmark06 with the Fan speed controller set to Low and High.

At Low speed, we started with 50 deg C on idle. After running 3DMark06, we get an average temperature of 57.9 deg C. During the test, the GPU went up to 67 deg C. The lowest temperature recorded is 49 deg C.

At high speed, we again started with the GPU at 50 deg C. After running 3Dmark06, we get an average of 57.1 deg C, that is 0.8 deg lower than at low speed. The max attained temperature reading is 63 deg C, again it is 4 deg lower than 67 deg C using the low speed fan. The minimum reached is 50 deg C.

The temperature reading shows that the coolant is effectively cooling down the GPU.
