Overclocker 6 Jan 2002

nForce2 MCP-T (South Bridge). Shuttle uses the ALC650 AC'97 codec to take advantage of the nForce APU. The nForce2 APU only acts as a DSP, final sound quality is still greatly The audio output is determinated by the DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) in the ALC650 AC'97 codec.

ALC650 Codec is used on board

Realtek RTL8801 for 1394 support

The BIOS is quite standard with FSB from 100 ~ 200 Mhz at 1Mhz stepping (From 100-133, there are some odd stepping of 1 and 2). Memory Frequency can be set at Async (at various ratios) or Sync (Sync is better). Ram timings can be set at CAS 2, 5-2-2 similar to our test. There are no voltage adjustments and multiplier controls.
