ASrock K8Upgrade-1689 uses the M1689 chipset. The board supports 4 PCI slots, 1 AGP (brown) and the upgrade slot (yellow). Next to it are blocks of jumpers that needed to be set for Socket 754 or Socket 939 (slot) support.

To the right, we see the Socket 754. When installing the 939Board, it is necessary to remove the retention unit of the Socket 754. Further down, we see only 2 DIMM DDR400 slots, the floppy, IDE connectors. On the left, we see the USB connector (for another 2 USB ports), 2 SATA ports with RAID 0,1,JBOD support. At the back of the board, there are 6 ready to be used USB 2.0 ports, audio ports, keyboard, mouse port.

The 939CPU Board supports 4 Slots of DDR400 in dual channel mode. There is a +12 power connector which you need to hook to. To use the 939CPU Board, the jumpers on the mainboard must be set to use 939Board. Fasten the CPU/HeatsinkFAN and connect it to the yellow slot on the board. If it is installed into a case, the board can be fasten to the case by a screw at the bracket.
