First look
In the past, we have seen many kinds
of hybrid solutions and they are very popular among end users who wish to
upgrade their board. We have seen such boards like Slot 1/Socket 370 and DDR/SDR
combos. ASrock takes it one step further and stunned the world with the
introduction of a Como upgradeable board for the Pentium 4 - ASrock P4 Combo.
P4 Combo supports
both Socket types 478 and 775 using the Intel 848P single channel chipset. With
this hybrid design, you need not upgrade your board to tap the power of the
Prescott LGA775 processors in the near future when prices drop. This board
supports the traditional 8x AGP instead of PCI-E. Thus you can also save some
costs on upgrading the AGP card while upgrading the processor. The board supports
Serial ATA, Integrated LAN, 6 USB, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, 5.1 ch audio, 1xAGP, 4xPCI,
2x DIMM slots.
