Conclusion

Gigabyte GO-W1608A has proven to be very quiet during my daily usage to burn the recorded tv programs so that I can view them using the conventional DVD player. Now with the Dual Layer support, I do not need to use software DVDshrink to compress the movies so that it can fit within 4.7G. This is something I have longed for.

Currently, I am using a ABIT Digidice as my desktop PC with a Leadtek TV tuner card. It looks like this writer will be replacing my W0808A which has the same dimensions which fits well into this Small Form Factor box.

I highly recommend this drive if you intend to use it for burning your movies and needs large backup storage onto a 8.54G Disc.
