Gigabyte K8S760M (SiS760) Gallery/Preview (2)
Bluetooth 18 Apr 2004

The Mainboard

Finished in blue as usual for Gigabyte boards. As we can see from the mainboard, the design is pretty neat. Although it is a microATX board, we find that the components are not that squeezed at one corner of the mainboard. While meddling with the heatsink, we noticed that there isn't thermal paste underneath.

The board comes equipped with USB, Firewire, SATA RAID 0/1/JBOD, Local Frame Buffer (separate ram for the integrated video), 6 channel audio. LAN.

3 PCI slots, 1 AGP 8x Slot. On the mainboard is the audio codec CMI 9739A Looks like a 3 Phase design is in place for the best stability. The socket 754 is well socketed with the base plate. Next to it is the +12v connector.
Floppy Connector, BIOS chip, colour front panel connector. SATA Ports and South Bridge SiS 964 2 DIMM slots for 2GB of DDR400 memory. Power connector, floppy connector and IDE connectors.

The back panel with PS/2 Keyboard, Mouse connector. 1 COM port. 1 Parallel port. 4 USB, 1 LAN and 6 channel audio ports.
