Bluetooth 21 Oct 2004

Siemens SL65

Pricing Info US UK

Siemens is back with the a sliding phone the old days of SL55. This improved version has more cutting  edge technology and looks small and sleek in design. SL65, supports GSM 900/1800/1900 and GPRS. S65 provides a screen display of 130 x130 and 16 bits colour depth. The phone has a nice dimension of 90.2 x 47 x 20.9 mm and weighs only 99g. This is almost the same weight as the S65 we reviewed 2 months ago.

The integrated VGA camera with 5x digital zoom allows you to record and playback films that can be viewed on a high-resolution 65K colour TFT display or sent via MMS or Email. With its attachable Flash IFL-600, you can take pretty good pictures under low lighting conditions.

SL65 comes with a max talktime of 270 hrs and a standby time of 230hrs. Ringtones supported format is MIDI, WAV and SRT. Video Recording is supported using 3GP. Java is supported and you can install games via GPRS or IrDA. Unlike the S65, there is no Bluetooth. There is a 10MB storage space and no external storage is supported on the SL65.
