NF4 Standard Mod to NF4 SLI
Bluetooth 21 June 2005

Introduction

A few months ago, a few sites were talking about the possibility of modifying the NF4 Ultra to the SLI chipset. This idea came after some manufacturers came out with boards that has two PCI-E slots for Dualview. Our friends at Anandtech shared the idea and compared the difference between the NF4 Ultra  and NF4 SLI. A number of users were successful in making the mod on their boards and enabled SLI.

Today, we take a look at NF4 Standard chipset and NF4 SLI. To mod it to work in SLI mode, you might need to scrap off some of the portions of the connections and use a pencil to connect up the two points in between. Alternatively, you can use a silver pen to connect up the two points.

Below are screen shots of an actual SLI chip followed by the NF4 Std chipset. I used a pencil to interconnect two points on the NF4 STD and tada, SLI enabled.
