ASrock 939Dual-SATA2 VDIMM Modification Guide 1/2
Introduction A lot of people has been hoping that the 939Dual-SATA2 has a higher voltage level for the DIMMs. Some people who has the OCZ DIMM booster probably thought that it is too high a price to pay to achieve DDR600. While some are try to use the generic 3.3v mod tapped from the PSU 3.3v line. Well, what it actually takes is a simple mod by changing the resistor value on the mainboard to achieve a 3.0v to the DIMM slots. With 3.0v, you can now run 8x300 or higher at 1:1 steadily if it was the RAM that was stopping you to achieve 1:1. On the next page, we present a diagram and location of the resistor to be changed.
