Gigabyte GN-BC01 AirCruiser G Desktop Router 1/3
Bluetooth 22 Apr 2004

GN-BC01

The AirCruiser G Desktop Router is a Wi-Fi access point, firewall and internet router with a single 10/100Mbps Ethernet port in a PCI board. The antenna that comes included with the AirCruiser G Desktop Router is unlike any other in that there is a blue LED atop the tip which will flash at intervals – the shorter the interval, the higher the wireless data transmission rate. Once installed and connected, the AirCruiser G Desktop Router allows users to share network resources over the 10/100Mbps LAN port as well as enjoy wireless speeds of up to 54Mbps. With this device, you save space as you do not need additional power adaptor to power up the access point as the card is installed within your PC casing and taps on the PCI bus for power. The only thing that is visible is probably the access point's antenna.

On top of that, this device allows you to use WDS function to extend your wireless coverage. Similar to existing wireless access point/router from Gigabyte, this device allows you to set up a basic port forwarding or you may prefer the uPNP to auto assign ports when used with applications like AZEUES (Java based bit torrent client) on MSN Messenger.

Whatever can be done on the traditional access point, it can be done on this card as well. Below are the specs and on page 2, we show you the package and installation procedure.
