Conclusion

The Siemens SF65 can be said as an exceptionally cool piece of gadget. Considering the size of SF65, it is definitely a nice camera phone for the photo shots. We took a number of photos and were quite impressed by the quality. The size of the phone is similar to the SE K700i which we reviewed sometime ago. It is just nice for the shirt pocket.

Just like the traditional Siemens phone, the ringtones are exceptionally loud and is comparable to the Samsung. The only difference is the MIDI sounds a bit too digital. MP3 playback and ringtones are not supported on this phone but you can use WAV file as a substitute.

From what I can see, this phone is a challenger to the existing camera phones. In terms of connectivity, both do not have Bluetooth but incorporates Infra Red and GPRS for transferring of ringtones and pictures. Something nice about Siemens phones is that you can just beam in the images, tones, apps and it will get into the Inbox. Some others brands require you to use a specific software to achieve that.

Overall, the SF65 is a well built phone with a super strong vibration alert + ringtone. It would be good if the SL65 incorporates some of the functionalities like MP3, WMA playback as ringtones. Despite its good camera features, it lacks important features like FM radio, bluetooth, external storage and support for GSM1900. Otherwise, it would be the perfect phone.

Pros :

  • Screen visible under strong sunlight

  • JAVA, MMS, GPRS

  • IrDA

  • Ringtones are LOUD

Cons :

  • No FM Radio

  • No MP3 support

  • No Bluetooth
