Sony Ericsson introduces first
i-mode phone K610im
Sony Ericsson is pleased to announce today the K610im, its first mobile phone
that offers full support for i-mode™. The i-mode service delivers a whole new
experience in connected mobile applications such as email, Web browsing and MMS.
Viewing multimedia content is also further enhanced, making it faster and
easier, thanks to Web pages and content specially formulated for i-mode. Users
can also access a host of i-mode™ sites and content. The lightweight phone at
just 89 grams comes with a 2 megapixel camera and the good quality pictures
taken can be sent as email as well as MMS messages. It is also equipped with a
highly specified music player and users can store up to 60 music tracks in the
new eAAC+ format with the Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™).
Also unveiled today is the W810i Walkman phone in Fusion White to cater to a
greater audience. Similar to its predecessor that was launched in Singapore in
April, the white version is a quad-band EDGE phone that comes with a dedicated
Walkman button to pull up the music menu at one touch. All the most common music
controls needed (Play/Pause/Stop/Skip Track/ Volume) are positioned just below
the phone's screen. It also features an integrated high-quality 2 megapixel,
autofocus camera with photo light and a 512MB removable Memory Stick Pro DUO to
store a wealth of multimedia content.
Finally, Sony Ericsson announces the launch of the new Music Cable MMC-70 that
allows users to listen to their favourite MP3/AAC tracks from their mobile
phones when connected to an external speaker. The plug and play function makes
this accessory perfect for travelling, maximising the convenience and
entertainment factor.
